“I will sing of loyalty and of justice; to you, O Lord, I will sing.” Psalm 101:1

We are looking for a few good men…and women to sing God’s praises.  Are you looking to be a part of a group at CPC?  Try CHOIR!!!

Check out our NO EXCUSES policy.

You’re not a real singer? “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come into His presence with singing.”  Psalm 100:1-2

You don’t know how to read music? You do NOT have to know how to read music to sing with us, and there is NO audition.  We learn the notes and rhythms together, and we have fun doing it! “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:6

You don’t know anybody in the choir? Come get to know us. We don’t bite. If you love to sing, and enjoy fellowship with others, come join us!  We are a fun loving, easy going group of people.   Come share your musical gifts in a fun, friendly environment.  We have a few jokesters in the group too, so there are usually lots of laughs as well.  “Be filled with the Spirit, as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20

So come on back to the choir room.  We have plenty of smiles, chairs, robes, and folders to go around. (The choir doesn’t wear robes during the Summer as we are more casual and trying to stay cool.)  If this sounds like something you would enjoy, please come check us out!

Palm Sunday 2015 cantata

We have a Summer schedule and a School year schedule.

***UPDATE: During Spring of 2017 (currently), the choir is rehearsing at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays!

School year schedule:  During the school year, the choir typically rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room, and again on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m.  However, as the update says above, for the Spring of 2017, the choir is meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.  Come join us!

Summer schedule:   The Summer schedule runs from June through most of August.  In June and July, we do not meet during the week for practice, but instead we come early at 10:15 am. on Sunday mornings for practice before the service.   The choir takes off for most of August, so during that break we have special music to include solos, duets, quartets, etc.  We do not have Sunday morning practices for most of August. When we return to the school year schedule at the end of August, we will resume our Wednesday evening practices at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room, and our Sunday morning practices at 10:30 a.m.  Come check us out!

If you have any further questions about the choir, or are interested in giving us a try, come to a Wednesday night rehearsal at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room, talk to a choir member or the director on Sunday mornings after the service, or contact the Director of Music, Amye Carrington, at 903/892-1502.
