Adult Ministries

At Covenant, we hope to help adults discern how to live out their faith in the world. We try to create groups that allow us to learn and live out what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Below are various ways you can engage and grow in your faith and become a part of the community here at Covenant.

Bible Studies

Bible Studies are available for men and women, day and evening.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study – Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Parlor beginning January 17.
Topic: “Balaam, his donkey and the direction of God” examining Numbers 22:21-35

Sunday Mornings

The Christian Education hour is between our morning services, meeting from 9:40-10:40 in the Parlor. We will journey together through various books and studies. For more information, please contact Becky Showalter. Hope to see you there!

Men’s Breakfast

Whether you are a member of Covenant or not, we welcome you to come join us for Men’s Breakfast at Grandy’s on Texoma Parkway every Thursday of every week from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

We discuss a varied selection of topics ranging from the history of the area, geography, current events, personal hobbies of interest, interesting books we have read, historical events and many, many more. We have had topics presented recently on The Gunfight at the OK Corral, China, Israel, The Battle of Britain and many others of interest, importance, and fun. The conversation is always spirited and lively.

Joys and Concerns of the church are discussed and opportunities to minister with the combined talents of the group are always being sought and filled. The group generally volunteers for church projects, such as helping cook for the church, transportation, Handy Helper projects, and other projects when the need arises.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a ministry to church members who provide one-to-one care to people experiencing grief, divorce, loneliness, job loss, hospitalization, and many other life difficulties. There are two ways to be involved. First, you can become a Stephen Minister. You will receive training on how to listen, minister to people in grief, maintaining boundaries, etc. You will then be matched with someone who is in a stressful time or life difficulty. Second, you can be ministered to. If you are going through a difficult time you can request someone to come alongside you and walk through that season with you.
