Children’s Ministry
At Covenant, we strive to walk alongside and cultivate a child’s faith in a variety of ways. Our goal is to be a resource for your family as you all walk through life and your children experience various stages of growth and learning. Our Children’s Ministry is designed for students in Kindergarten to 5th grade. You can learn about our Nursery or our Youth Ministry.
Sunday School
Covenant desires to create a space for children to learn about faith and what it means to be a Child of God. Our Sunday School for grades Kindergarten to 5th grade strives to share with children what it means to be a Christian in a caring and nurturing environment. We use Bible stories, fellowship, mission opportunities, and various activities to engage our students to question and grow in their faith.
Worship
We encourage families to worship together on Sunday mornings. The nursery is open for infants, new walkers, and toddlers for the entire service. There are activity bags in the Narthex that children are welcome to grab before worship. We provide these so children can have some quiet, reflective, creative ways to worship on Sundays.
Camps
Kidquake: Kidquake happens every spring and is a weekend camp open to children who are in Kindergarten – 5th grade. Our church sends adult sponsors with our kids as they get to meet other kids from around the North Texas/Dallas area. It is led by either trained youth or college students who guide the kids in small groups, activities, and worship time. It is a way for our children to meet other kids and fellowship with others at a weekend camp.
You can learn more about it here: https://www.gilmont.org/kidquake.html
Summer Camp: Camp Gilmont and Mo-Ranch offer summer camps that children can participate in as a solo camper. Scholarships are available if your children are interested in attending a summer camp at Gilmont or Mo-Ranch.
Events
We desire to pour into families and provide events and opportunities for families to fellowship together and to grow in their faith. We offer opportunities like the Easter Egg Hunt, Advent Celebration, and Vacation Bible School throughout the year.
