Our teachers have many gifts, but the best quality our teachers have is that they love each and every child as their own. Each teacher is certified in CPR and First Aid, completed background checks, and receives continuing education annually.

Mrs. Rhyan: MDO Director


Mrs. Rhyan is elated to be our Director of Education for Covenant Presbyterian Preschool of Sherman since 2021.  She grew up in the Collin/Grayson County area and knows the surrounding area and many of the great people who live and work here.  “It is a great place to live, work and raise a family!”

Rhyan has over 20 years of experience in early childcare and is very committed to providing children, parents, and staff with a safe, secure, and happy environment. She very dedicated to helping Covenant Presbyterian Preschool of Sherman continue to be the premier preschool in Sherman!

She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. Along with enjoying singing, traveling, the arts, camping and donating her extra time to local charities and churches. She looks forward to meeting and working with all of you!

Mrs. Tasha: Lead Teacher of Mother’s Day Out Program


Tasha Goldsmith is a nurturing infant teacher in our Mother’s Day Out program here at Covenant Presbyterian Church.  She is also an ambitious entrepreneur, known for her passion for early childhood education and her creative flair as a t-shirt and cup maker. With a heart for little ones and a mind for innovation, Tasha has built a career that seamlessly combines her love for teaching with her entrepreneurial spirit.

In her role as an infant teacher, Tasha provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where the youngest learners can thrive. With years of experience and a deep understanding of child development, she is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of each child in her care, supporting their milestones, and encouraging their curiosity.

Outside of the classroom, Tasha channels her creativity into her entrepreneurial pursuits. Inspired by her love for design and crafting, she founded her own business specializing in custom-made t-shirts and cups. From personalized baby onesies to unique coffee mugs, Tasha’s creations add a touch of individuality and style to her customers’ lives.

As an entrepreneur, Tasha embodies the spirit of determination and innovation. She is constantly exploring new ideas, experimenting with different designs, and finding innovative ways to grow her business. With a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail, she has built a loyal customer base and established herself as a respected maker in her community.

Despite her busy schedule with her husband Roy and her 5 children, 7 chickens, 3 dogs, 1 rabbit, 1 cat Tasha remains committed to both her teaching career and her entrepreneurial ventures. She believes in the power of education to shape young minds and the importance of pursuing one’s passions and dreams. Through her dedication, creativity, and unwavering determination, Tasha Goldsmith continues to inspire others to follow their hearts and pursue their goals with gusto.  We absolutely love her and her children that have gone through our preschool program.

Mrs. Brooke: Teacher of Mother’s Day Out Program


Brooke Ward with over 10 years experience working with youth, is a compassionate and dedicated infant and toddler teacher in our Mother’s Day Out program. She is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for the youngest learners. With a passion for early childhood development, Brooke brings her expertise to create a safe and supportive space where infants and toddlers can thrive and explore.

Outside of her professional life, Brooke is a loving wife and mother, prioritizing her family while pursuing her own educational goals. Currently enrolled at Grayson College, she is furthering her studies to enhance her skills and knowledge in early childhood education. Brooke’s determination to balance her responsibilities as a teacher, wife, mother, and student reflects her strong work ethic and commitment to personal and professional growth.
